Dossier
We're working on our dossier! I am so excited to be at this point. When we were in the Vietnam program, we waited and waited and waited for 10 months and were never called to begin our dossier. So, I've been itching to do this paperwork for a long time. I expect to have everything notarized and county certified in less than two weeks and then we'll just be waiting to get a new I-171H. I sent our letter requesting a "free one time country change" to the Memphis CIS office last week, but our social worker said it's taking 8-10 weeks for them to process anything. Regardless, I'll be ready when it gets here and that much closer to completing our dossier so we can send it to Ethiopia!

I'm Amanda and we're going to be sending off our dossier within a week or so. We're very excited.
We too had encountered a wait...we were in an Ethiopia program through another agency (which didn't have their Ethiopia approval) for 9 months before we decided to change agencies!
I'm so happy we did.

Congratulations on the switch and welcome to the Ethiopia program. We have had our dossier in country for a little bit over three months. Still waiting for a referral. I hope it is soon. I can't wait to read more about your journey.

Congratulations on your decision to adopt from Ethiopia! We began thinking Vietnam and decided last January to change to Ethiopia. We just returned home at the end of February with our baby boy. It was a wonderful trip and we couldn't be more in love with him. I can't imagine there was any other plan that could have been more God's will than for this sweet baby to be part of our home!
We used the Memphis office for our refingerprinting approval and it did take 7 weeks to get our form. Just wanted you to know.
