I-171H came today!

Okay, my head is swimming. I checked the mail today and there was our amended I-171H! It's only been a month and I was expecting to wait 8-10 weeks. So I've kind of been taking my time about getting my docs together for our dossier, since I thought I would have many more weeks to gather it all, get the notarizations, etc. But now... I'm going to have to step it up.

Really, I've got almost everything notarized - still waiting on one reference letter and my doctor's letter and of course the photocopy of the I-171H but I'll get that done this Friday. My doctor's appointment is next Thursday though, so I'm not doing too bad. We also are waiting on our Home Study Update, but our social worker is still waiting on my medical form so that also should be resolved by the end of next week. The plan is then to get everything I have county certified by Friday of next week. Then just wait to get the updated home study, then have it county certified, then send everything to be state certified and then to CHI and they will process our dossier from there. Then it's off to Ethiopia and our 6-10 month wait to bring Alison home will officially begin!

Happiness!! It sounds like you are really close to finishing your paperwork! You will be on that wait list before you know it!
