Referrals and Ramblings

Yesterday, our agency received 2 referrals for baby boys! These are the first referrals we've seen since our dossier was sent to Ethiopia. Courts are closed in Ethiopa right now, due to the rainy season, so referrals have been slow in coming. Hopefully we'll start to see that pick up soon. I think there are about 90 dossiers in front of us. I haven't asked, this is strictly by my calculations.

We had our home visit last week in order to update our home study for CIS. It went well and I already received the updated home study and mailed it yesterday requesting an extension of our I171H approval and requested to be refingerprinted. Hopefully, this will the last time we have to update!

We've been talking a lot about the baby lately. We were in the car the other day and Sam asked out-of-the-blue "What if my sister doesn't look like an Alison? Can we name her something else?" Well... I think she's going to look just like an Alison! Sam keeps saying we should just call her Alice. I have a feeling that may be what he calls her. Heaven help us, if he makes up as many names for her as he has for our poor dog! He's going to be so great as a big brother. He is so looking forward to traveling to Ethiopia with us to bring his sister home. We have started talking about vaccinations and what we will need before we travel. Obviously, Sam wasn't thrilled to hear about this. But he decided on his own, that yes he wanted to go with us and that he would get whatever shots he needed to do so. I just love him!
