Learning Vietnamese

I really want to learn some basic Vietnamese. Not only for my own knowledge before we travel but also so I can help our child learn all they can about their cultural heritage. I came across a really cool website yesterday: http://www.vietnamadventures.com/language_culture/default.html This site not only lists common phrases, foods, numbers, days of the week, etc. but it actually has sound so you can hear how these words are pronounced. I've already taught myself a few phrases and learned some numbers. I will probably eventually invest in a good language program like Rosetta Stone, but why not start learning some basics for free? I've also spotted some kids music DVDs on ebay that also claim to teach Vietnamese through music. They are listed really cheap so I might have to check these out too. I'm already so fascinated with Vietnamese culture, I just can't wait to travel to our child's country and experience it firsthand.
