We've been officially on the list for almost a month now. There have been quite a few healthy referrals and waiting children placed, so we are definitely moving up on the list! By my calculations I think we are around 169 on the overall waiting list. I hope to get an official update from our coordinator soon!
There are 8 families from our agency that are currently in Vietnam picking up their children. Four more families leave this month. Several families are keeping online travel journals, and I follow them everyday. Their stories are so helpful and encouraging. I can't wait until we make the journey to Vietnam for our child!
And no we haven't officially changed our preference from girl to boy, but we are leaning heavily in that direction.

I just found your journal and see that you are also with CHI and have also put my journal on your blog list. I'm going to add you to mine also. We are slightly ahead of you , about #143 on the list; we are open to either a boy or girl, which most likely means a boy.
