Last week, Sam was awarded his Webelos rank at his Cub Scout pack meeting. He has been involved with scouting since he was in first grade. Since then, he has earned his Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and now Webelos badges. He's now working on earning the Arrow of Light award - Cub Scout's highest honor - and next year he will be crossing over to become a Boy Scout. I believe I have a future Eagle Scout on my hands.
Our family loves scouting! Charles became a den leader during Sam's second year, and now is official Cubmaster of the pack. I'm so proud of the work Charles has done. In just a couple of years, the pack has went from having only a handful of boys to around 40 under Charles' leadership. I have a feeling our next son will be a scout too!
**Update** 3/13/08 I had mentioned in this post all the hard work that Charles has done this year. Well, he was just named Cubmaster of the Year for our local district! So, congrats to Charles too! I'm so proud of both my guys.
