Project Nursery

Okay, I'm feeling much better since my last post. Must be the sunshine and 80 degree temperatures forecast for later this week! Last weekend, I was on my way to our church youth group's rummage sale and I said a quick prayer in the car asking to find some cute and inexpensive baby items on sale. (Nothing like shopping therapy.) Well, on my way I passed another yard sale and saw the cutest baby bed! I just knew it would match the dresser I already have in Alison's room. I got Charles on the phone since he had the truck and we brought home the bed Saturday afternoon. We got an unbelievable price too! I've had the crib bedding for a while so I spent the afternoon putting it all together and making the bed. It is so cute and has really inspired me to go ahead and finish the room. I've got some great ideas and plan to do a project or two each weekend until complete. This weekend I'm painting the lid to Sam's old toy box to match Alison's room and I'm also making new drawer pulls for Alison's dresser. This is a dresser that my Aunt B bought me when I was a senior in high school and I found the cutest idea online on how to make fabric drawer pulls. I'm going to use fabric from the curtains that came with the nursery bedding set - since I'm going to do something else for the curtains. Oh, I love working on projects for my kids! I will definitely post pictures...when it's perfectly complete.
